Meet Bella, a patient of StreetVet.

StreetVet is a registered charity that offers free veterinary care to pets belonging to those experiencing homelessness in the UK and provides all sorts of care from major surgeries to lump inspections and vaccinations, to loving cuddles and warm coats. StreetVet continues to provide support for any registered clients for one year after they secure independent accommodation.

Bella first came to StreetVet with a sore mouth when her owner was made homeless and had begun sofa surfing. The StreetVet team organised a dental procedure and she quickly recovered but soon after needed an emergency operation for a pyometra which is a life threatening infection of the uterus. She made a speedy recovery and has continued to go from strength to strength ever since. Bella is a favourite with the Plymouth team and they always look forward to her visits where they can administer her preventative treatment and give her a good groom when her coat gets too long.
