Meet Spy, a patient of StreetVet.

StreetVet is a registered charity that offers free veterinary care to pets belonging to those experiencing homelessness in the UK and provides all sorts of care from major surgeries to lump inspections and vaccinations, to loving cuddles and warm coats. StreetVet continues to provide support for any registered clients for one year after they secure independent accommodation.

In 2021, Spy was found to have a life-threatening perineal hernia which was treated by a StreetVet team member at a local surgery, with the help of three veterinary nurses and a specialist soft tissue surgeon. It was because of StreetVet’s amazing care that Spy was able to get back to full health and returned to his owner. They are now both off the streets and Spy is back doing the job he loves as a working sheepdog!

Thanks to StreetVet pets like Spy are able to access 24/7 medical care. 50% of the profit from every sale of a lil wabbit x StreetVet card goes to helping animals like Spy all over the UK. All pets supported by StreetVet must satisfy strict eligibility criteria. At the time of commissioning this artwork the pet featured qualified for StreetVet support.
