House of Cards online store was created as a reflection of our award-winning stores in order to offer our products to a wider consumer audience. The products we sell on-line are a selection of our best-selling ranges from our stores. The online department is based at our warehouse location, which supports all six stores.

You don’t have to register with us to purchase our products. It is possible to shop as normal and checkout as a “guest”.
When you register with us you will be required to give your name, address, phone number and email address. You will be required to create a password.
In registering with us, you will be responsible for your password and registration details. You must not share your registration or password details with anybody.
If you suspect that anyone knows your registration or password details, please contact us immediately and we will assist you.
No personal details will ever be passed to a third party. We may however use your details to contact you directly with offers and products you may find useful. Please indicate in the box provided on the registration page if you do not consent with this.
We reserve the right to cancel your registration with us with little or no notice if we discover you have breached any rules outlined in this “Terms & Conditions” document or if you abuse our website or service in any way.
Buying goods is really simple – just click “Add To Basket” whilst shopping, then “Checkout” when you are ready to pay.
We accept payment in Pounds Sterling only, by credit card and debit card.
We regret that we do not accept payment by American Express or Diners Club card. Payments are accepted through WorldPay only.
Information transmitted on-line using the WorldPay payment system is strongly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations, so you can rest assured that payments will be made securely. Card details are never stored by House of Cards. Please read the “Your Security” section for more information about WorldPay.
Promotions and Vouchers
From time to time, House of Cards may issue promotional codes and vouchers for use on our website. To redeem these offers, please enter the relevant code when checking out your order. Each code is bound by the specific terms and conditions (including duration of offer) that are issued with it.
The promotional codes that we issue are only for use on our website, not in our stores, unless specifically stated otherwise.
VAT (at the prevailing rate) is included in the price of our products. Where applicable, details of this can be viewed in “My Basket”.
We will send you an email confirming your order after your payment. We will send a further email to confirm when your goods have been dispatched and when you should receive them.
If, after a period of 24 hours from purchase, you don’t receive these emails, please check your “Spam” filter to see if they have been mistaken as “Junk” mail. If you still haven’t received any emails, please contact us at email@example.com or by telephone (01525 382100) and we will be glad to check and inform you of the status of your order.
We understand that when shopping on-line your personal and financial security are of paramount importance. We take your security very seriously, which is why we have chosen to use on-line payment processing facilities provided by WorldPay.
WorldPay facilities are fully secure and use a range of industry standard and WorldPay unique security and fraud prevention systems. WorldPay systems are regularly inspected by the major banks to ensure that system integrity and network security are maintained to the highest standards.
The WorldPay processing centre is securely linked to many processing banks worldwide, which handle authorisations online and process the transactions in real-time. The WorldPay services are certified by Thawte, a public certificate authority. Thawte will only issue Digital Certificates to those servers that meet stringent security requirements.
Shipping & Delivery
We will process your order and post your goods as soon as we can. This will usually be the next working day, but if you get your order in before midday (12:00) on a working day (Monday to Friday) we will endeavour to send out your goods the same day.Please note that any orders made on a Friday are likely to be sent on the next working day (Monday). We regret that we are unable to post goods on public holidays.
At the present time we can only ship goods to the UK.
Depending on your order, many of our products could arrive in a in a package that is too large to fit through your letterbox. If you are out when delivery is attempted, the Postman will take the items back to your local Delivery Office, and should leave a "Sorry you were out" card. Please telephone the number on the card and arrange redelivery at a time to suit.

We will send goods via Royal Mail Second Class delivery.
If you would like to ensure next day delivery, House of Cards offers a next day delivery service (Monday to Friday), at a cost of £7.99. Please note that orders must be placed before midday 12:00 to ensure that we can organise pickup with our couriers. We will use a courier (DPD) or Royal Mail's special services to fulfil this guarantee.
This service is available to all mainland UK addresses excluding Scottish Highlands. For exempt postcodes see below. If you have ordered Next Day delivery but live in these locations, we will dispatch via Royal Mail first class delivery and we will refund you the difference in postage charged.

An invoice will be sent to the purchaser of the goods via email and won’t be sent with the delivery so you need not worry, if your purchase is a gift, about the receiver seeing what you paid for the items!
We take every care to ensure that goods sent out are in pristine condition and in complete working order. We also strive to pack our goods safely and securely. We take no responsibility for any damages incurred by the delivery service.
House of Cards will, at our discretion, use the next day delivery service should we feel the need to guarantee the delivery of an order of large size and/or high value. Should we use next day delivery when you have only opted for the standard First Class delivery service, we will not charge you any extra.
We will send goods to the address specified by you on our online form. Information supplied to us via our online form will not be altered or corrected should there be any mistakes, so please ensure you enter all information accurately. We take no responsibility for any mistakes made in delivery due to the information you have supplied us with.
House of Cards recommends that you allow three working days for delivery, especially during busy periods such as Christmas.
Returns & Cancellations
Orders are packaged and dispatched on the same or subsequent day, so should you wish to cancel your order please inform us as soon as possible. You can do this by email: firstname.lastname@example.org by phoning us: 01525 382100
If your goods have already been dispatched, please return them to us in their original protective packaging as soon as possible. We will refund the cost of all items once we have received the goods.
Distance selling regulations state that if a customer cancels an order, the written notice (in our case an email or telephone call is sufficient) must be given to us by seven working days from the day after that on which the customer receives the goods. However, House of Cards kindly requests that you let us know of any cancellations as soon as possible.
If for any reason you are unhappy with the goods* you have received from House of Cards, we will be happy to offer a refund or exchange. This offer is subject to the following conditions:
- The goods should be returned to us within 28 days of dispatch in their original packaging.
- The goods are not damaged and are in re-saleable condition.
*We regret that we will not be able to offer an exchange or refund for the following goods: Pierced earrings, toiletries and perishable items, unless they arrive damaged.
Should you be the recipient of our goods as a gift and wish to return them, we will be happy to offer you an online credit voucher equivalent to the product’s value.
To return an item, please send it to the following address quoting your name, address, phone number, email address, order reference number and the reason for returning the goods/claiming a refund/requesting an exchange.

On receipt of the goods we will contact you to let you know details of your refund/exchange.
With the exception of faulty items, we are not able to refund return postage costs. If you receive a product that you find to be faulty, please notify us within 48 hours. Follow the usual process for returning goods, as stated above. We will issue you a full refund including the cost of return postage. Should we examine the product and find that it is not faulty, you will not be refunded the cost of return postage.
Limitation of Liability
We exclude all and any liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage due to:
- Interruption of business such as website down-time or postal strikes
- Viruses incurred whilst using or through the use of our website
- Your downloading of material from our website or any websites links to our website
- Any offence caused by mistakes in your message when sending goods to a third-party recipient
- Failure of delivery services to deliver your order or damages incurred during delivery
